In his first year as Director of Illinois Computes, Chuck Thompson has encountered a wide range of descriptions of the initiative —many at least partially accurate, but none capturing the full picture. This session will explore the more than a dozen (and counting) ways to describe Illinois Computes, discuss its continued evolution, and foster a discussion with participants about how these varied descriptions might offer new ways to think about IT services and support. Participants will also learn about the specific resources and support offered by Illinois Computes through the examples shared with each description.
