Strategic Planning has identified the need for IT Governance on campus. But what do we mean when we say governance. In the presentation we aim to provie n high level introduction to governance and management. How can they work together to deliver better services, provide insight, maintain alignment and other benefits. We will also explore: How governance supports strategic planning, and what might be on the horizon for governance.

The participants will have a better understanding of what governance is and how it differs from management, but also how governance and management work together. This is working to build a common vocabulary and shared understanding of these terms, also to help start conversations and dispel some misconceptions about what governance is.
