This 3-hour hands-on will be split into three separate sections, each with a security or privacy focus. The first session will be an overview of privacy, followed by a hands-on portion on configuring GPG, generating a public/private keypair, and using it with Thunderbird and Outlook. We will also try to cover implementation of Perfect Forward Secrecy. The second session will be a walkthrough of the options available and steps to go through for logging to the centralized service. We will segue into ways that this log data can be used once it is being centrally logged. The third session will be an introduction to web application testing, with demonstrations of some specific tools that can be used to find common vulnerabilities within web applications that your unit may be hosting.
