One of the challenges facing instructors, departments, and IT professionals at R1 institutions is the management of research data and course content, especially information in multimedia formats. Our campus requires a robust information management architecture that makes it possible to locate data and content easily and efficiently. We have now begun developing workflows designed to utilize metadata to improve efficiency.
