LTI 1.3 and LTI Advantage are the long-term standards for adding functionality to campus’ Canvas Learning Management System. This presentation will cover the basics of LTI 1.3 and the two core Advantage services: the Names & Roles Provisioning Service and the Assignments & Grades Service. We will also cover advanced topics including: handling LTI content re-used semester after semester, interpreting HTTP error messages, and ensuring student work graded asynchronously on the LTI Tool isn’t unfairly penalized as late on Canvas.
