MMMSlop! Learning About GenAI By Making Music No One Wants

Description:

Four years into the Age of the Mainstream LLM, many of us still lack a sufficient foundational understanding of generative AI. One path to that understanding is use of local and/or lower-level tools that expose more of AI’s guts. But a homelab install of OpenClaw could get you doxxed, fired, divorced, and arrested – all by lunchtime. You know what never hurt nobody (other than musicians, anyway)? Music. In this brief workshop, we’ll meet some new friends, possibly install some new software, and use genAI-based music generation to learn a bit about the basics of AI implementations generally. Heck, we might even vibe-compose us a fake George Jones song about that one woeful morning we installed OpenClaw.

(Please note: Registrants for this session will be contacted with pre-session configuration instructions for their machines. This is to ensure that we can all make the most of a very short session together. Please keep an eye for a pertinent email in the weeks before the Pro Forum!)
