Description:
The Boldly IT Strategic Plan presents a campuswide vision for information technology that aligns with Illinois’ mission, is more responsive to the campus’s needs, and fosters collaboration toward the collective good. Among its six priorities, Changing How We Work is an overarching priority advanced through three key strategies: establishing technology governance, sharing and collaborating on IT service delivery, and empowering IT professionals. This session provides updates on technology governance, including the committees that have launched, their scope and authorities, and actions taken to date. Attendees will also learn how colleagues from across campus united as Rapid Response Teams to develop actionable recommendations for governance consideration. Finally, attendees will hear about a long-term vision for a campuswide IT talent network built on shared standards, portable skills, and equitable opportunities — making Illinois a preferred place for IT professionals to grow and contribute.
