Description:
Martinet is a configuration monitoring & reporting program intended to be used by IT professionals. Martinet can help quickly identify configuration problems which may require immediate action. The target audience for Martinet are novice to mid-level IT professionals but expert/advanced IT pros in Windows environments might find Martinet to be convenient. Martinet is written in PowerShell. Martinet can be run from any modern Windows system but is typically run from an AD-bound Windows Server system. Martinet’s configuration describes how one’s setup should be laid out. Martinet reviews the relevant setup details (AD objects, SMB print queues & permissions, SMB file shares & folder permissions, live DNS records, and more) and compares that to reality. Martinet then emails a report of inconsistencies to specified email accounts.
