What’s new AInspector for WCAG Evaluation Version 5.0

AInspector for WCAG Evaluation open-source tool for web accessibility evaluation. Ainspector has been updated to fix issues in current rules, add new rules to improve identification of accessibility issues and support rules defined in aXe and WAVE/Popetech rulesets, and improve page highlighting. One new rule evaluates the use of the ARIA aria-haspopup attribute to help people understand it should only be used in the limited contexts of referencing dialogs, grids, menus, listbox, menus and tree widgets. AInspector 5.0 includes new experimental rulesets for aXe and WAVE/Popetech rulesets allowing people to use the tool to evaluate content using only the rules associated with those tools. It also provides an online resource to compare the differences in the rule libraries and help people understand how many WCAG requirements are covered by automated rules. Highlighting is also improved for content in iframes. Feedback on the new features will be encouraged in this session.
