Alex Cordain has been providing captioning, text and music conversion services to students with disabilities through the University of Illinois’ Accessible Media Services unit since 2019. He has helped develop AMS’ music conversion process, modernize their text conversion training including developing a training program for student workers which is being adapted to online training modules. Alex serves as an IT Accessibility Liaison, being a point of contact for anyone in Disability Services who may have questions about digital accessibility. He has helped to grow the Educational Materials Made Accessible (EMMA) initiative to share remediated materials between Disability Services Offices.
