  NPCF is the home of Blue Waters, the largest supercomputer for open science at a university anywhere in the world. Visitors will see the Blue Waters supercomputer and other equipment in the machine room, as well as tour the facility to see the infrastructure that makes it all go.

  Tour the high density book storage system at the Oak Street facility. Limited number of metered spaces in the parking lot immediately adjacent to the building. There are also a handful of the metered spaces on nearby streets, but otherwise lots and street parking are by permit only. Folks arriving for the tour will buzz into our front door and our staff will show them to our reading room until everyone is assembled.

  Turn helps power the world’s largest advertisers and trading desks through technology that delivers real-time data insights on campaign performance. The Champaign site in the University of Illinois Research Park is the first engineering office outside of the corporate headquarters in Redwood City, CA, and the companies only Turn Innovation Center. Opened newly in 2014, the site will initially focus on software development, and then grow into research collaborations with the University, and potentially expand into non-engineering areas as well.

    This presentation covers the web service interface that CollegiateLink offers for extracting Student Event and Group (e.g. sorority) information, along with the Oracle’s web service technologies (UTL_HTTP, XMLDATA). We’ll cover the staging of the XML data, parsing, ‘gotchas – and the subsequent regeneration of the content for consumption by different delivery schemes (AITS’ Portal, Digital Signage, etc.).

  • Library Virtualization: A Success Story

NCSA/NSF Blue Waters is one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. Members of the project team will review the project, what it means to the campus and review the engineering that goes into our campus exit. The Wi-Fi Expansion Project status and review: Members of the Wi-Fi Expansion Project team will provide an update on the status of the 3 year project to ?expand Wi-Fi coverage on campus. Wi-Fi First: The project team for Wi-Fi first Proof-of-Concept testing in the Law Building and DCL will be available to discuss lessons learned, take questions and facilitate discussion on the use of Wi-Fi as the primary method to connect to the Campus Network.
